Ms. Anniversary

One Ms. movement that really engaged me was on women’s equality and the right to vote. In 1919, the 19th Amendment was finally passed in which women gained the right to vote. According to Ms. Magazine, women need to go out in the upcoming election in November to vote on women’s issues such as healthcare in which women may receive contraceptives. Women also need to vote to make sure that we are standing up for ourselves as a society of women. Women have come a long way in which we are now able to advocate for one another. Women are also running for top governmental offices such as the Senate. By having women in the Senate, a “women’s view point” is able to be expressed and understood. The ability to vote is very powerful in which women are given an equal opportunity to have their voices heard.
